This was a super sweet Fall Session that we actually had to reschedule a couple of times, and finally hooked up after the new year! It was held in this family’s subdivision which offered beautiful light and a gorgeous waterfront backdrop. I am always open to new locations. Our area is full of hidden gems–it’s just a matter of finding them! I am loving these soft winter tones, and, of course, the love and emotion exchanged here. How gorgeous are this baby’s blue eyes?

This session came together with lots of planning and Pinteresting! This mama knew exactly what she wanted — a simple, natural set with cozy shots with her hubby, a few high-fashion looks, and some fun ones, as well! She arrived looking amazing and was ready to slay her session.

As you can see, highlighting her sweet bump was the top priority. Growing a child inside our bodies is such a special gift, and she truly enjoyed every moment of it. This couple was so natural in front of my lens. You can truly see the love they share as they await the arrival of their sweet girl. It was so much fun bringing their vision to life.

Getting to document this girl’s first month of life was such an honor. Annie was four weeks old when we did her newborn session, and just look how cute she is! She traveled for three days after she was born to settle in at home with her family. After getting in the groove of parent life, Eric and Schyler reached out wanting to preserve her newness, and I’m so glad they did. Annie was a perfect angel, and even gave us a few really sweet smiles. Which one is your favorite?

This was the very last shot of her session. This was a special outfit chosen by her father, so we wanted to incorporate it since he wasn’t present for the session.

The iconic sign on Tiger Stadium has been down this season for renovations, but that hasn’t stopped me from providing this greatly desired look. Thankfully, I have held enough sessions in the past at this location that I can easily re-create the stadium during the editing process.

The detail in the fountain screamed for a black and white edit, and I couldn’t love this shot more!

How great are those LSU socks???

“Almost A Doctor” is correct! This smart guy has graduated and is off to med school in a warmer climate with beautiful beach views in September of this year, possibly pursuing a career in Emergency Medicine. Spending the evening with him and his sweet Mama (his biggest cheerleader) was so much fun. I can’t wait to see what kind of good he does in this world!

While LSU is a great backdrop for a senior session at any time of the year, spring is my favorite season. The flowers bloom, the weather is pleasant, and the campus comes to life with the beaming faces of upcoming grads. I always ask my clients if they have any specific places they want to shoot to customize their sessions. Almost everyone requests the PMAC with Tiger Stadium behind them. It’s a favorite of mine as well, along with the grounds near Memorial Tower and the Quad. Sometimes, taking photos in front of the building where these grads spent many hours can also be a great idea, too!

Do you know what you want to wear for your photo session? I always recommend to have something dressy, something casual, and something your mom would love. The number one goal is wearing what makes you feel good, and make sure to have your cap and gown, too!

Each newborn session is unique. I always ask if there is anything sentimental parents’ would like to include in their photos. I’ve had many different precious things brought in over the years from priceless hand-made blankets to late grandparent’s personal belongings. I have seen a deer hyde, a flight log, military gear, bridal veils, and many other items that mean something special. Soccer is a big part of this sweet family’s life, so they brought in a brand new soccer ball, no doubt Easton will be kicking it around soon enough.
